Wasn't it just March??? And now we're almost at the end of May...yikes!
I've been sad about how neglectful I've been with writing here, but, alas, such is life sometimes. Especially when one is planning a small, but elegant evening wedding for one's first born. Especially when it's less than three months away now!
It's a delight to have this project, though, so I'm not complaining at all.
Amazingly, both Megan and I want nothing to do with wedding websites or wedding magazines anymore - not even good ol' Martha Stewart's! Hard to believe, but true. You just get inundated by Everything Wedding and at some point you realize this is just More Information Than You Need. You've made your decisions and you just don't want to look at anything more. You just want to get to the big day and have it as you've imagined.
I'm sure time will cure this and at some point I'll find myself looking at MS Weddings and blissfully daydreaming about Emily's someday wedding should she decide to marry. I'll get all caught up in pouring over pictures of dresses and bouquets again.
But until then...
Anyway, invitations are just about finished and will be in the mail by the end of the week and then The Great Making of The Wedding Gown event will commence.
Such luscious silk...such an elegant design...such a beautiful, sweet bride...
I can't wait to get started!!!
