What fun I had this morning! A thrift store in my area has a special deal every Thursday; if you buy ten pieces of clothing that are priced under $5.00, you get them all for $10.00!
Sooo...
I went a bit crazy and spent $30.00 and got bags filled with silk, linen and velvet! Whoo-hoo! I'll thrown them all in the washer and dryer tonight so they'll have a nice soft hand and then figure out what I'm going to make with them...I have some pillows and scarves in mind. Maybe some small purses; big enough for just the essentials.
I plan on spending a whole day in the near future just 'sperimentin' (and sending my Inner Critic to Siberia). I will, I hope, do as Franz Kafka suggests in this poem he wrote:
You do not need to leave your room.
Remain sitting at your table and listen.
Do not even listen, simply wait.
Do not even wait, be quite still and solitary.
The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked,
it has no choice,
it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.
— Franz Kafka
Wanna come over and play???
